Plasdŵr is being created on part of the historic Plymouth Estate. The Estate is represented by leading Chartered Surveyors, Cooke & Arkwright. The lead project development partner is Redrow Homes, which has taken the lead in designing great places to live as one of the early pioneers of modern Garden Villages.
Cooke & Arkwright and Redrow lead an experienced team of planning, property, environmental, infrastructure and marketing professionals as Plasdŵr is created over the next generation, each working to ensure that Plasdŵr is an outstanding place to live, work and visit.

LEAD DEVELOPMENT PARTNER
Redrow, one of the UK’s leading housebuilders and is the principal development partner for the whole of Plasdŵr creating around half of its homes.

Landowner’s Development Advisors
The practice has played a principal role in the Welsh property market and been integral to its development, providing professional advice and commercial property services for over 100 years. It acts for the Earl of Plymouth Estate, landowner in the development of Plasdŵr. The Estate is keen to see the creation of a place that is seen as a positive legacy to its heritage in the local area – much in the same way that the Victorian seaside town of Penarth, a former planned development on land held by the Estate, is regarded today.

SJM Partnership Ltd
Independent utility design consultancy, SJM Partnership Limited, works with the developers, consultants and utility providers to ensure the appropriate and timely delivery of the utility infrastructure to Plasdŵr.

Golley Slater is a full-service marketing agency with headquarters in Cardiff and other UK offices. The agency is responsible for the Plasdŵr brand, marketing and communications.

Pegasus Urban Design is part of Pegasus Group, one of the UK’s leading consultancies in the development sector. Its experience embraces large scale urban extensions, strategies for area regeneration and detailed design.

Holder Mathias Architects
Holder Mathias Architects are specialists in Leisure, Retail, Urban Residential and Workplace. Based in London, Cardiff and Munich, operating throughout the United Kingdom and internationally delivering services in Architecture, Urban Design and Masterplanning. At Plasdŵr they are responsible for the design of the Canol Plasdŵr Centre.

Mott MacDonald
An employee-owned management, engineering and development consultancy, with bases across the UK, it works on Plasdwr as a cost and procurement consultant ensuring all suppliers are as efficient as possible.

Cardiff Council
Plasdŵr is identified in Cardiff’s Local Development Plan as key to the city’s economic growth and a huge part of its vision for the growing city centre.
Cardiff Council, as Local Authority, has positively engaged in the vision for Plasdŵr and been supportive and worked closely with the development team on all aspects of the planning and delivery. Plasdŵr has been designed in line with Cardiff Council’s Transport Strategy where 50% of all journeys are made by walking, cycling or using public transport.
